Are male Virgo different from female Virgos?

topic posted Thu, June 14, 2007 - 1:48 PM by  Cynthia
Or is it that they are too much alike? I have a girlfriend who is a Virgo woman and she fell in love with a Virgo man against my warnings. I told her he would be too much like her and it would turn her off. As she began to become more and more familiar with him she began to see that what I said was true. He was very sensitive, jealous, possessive yet independent and emotionally detached. This would frustrate her, so she would call me for more advice. My answer: He is like you, would you really want to date yourself or someone who was a little more different. I’ve notice that male Virgos are more ruthless and more sensitive than females. Am I wrong?

Of course being male is going to make the energy different than a female. And it's been said but there are so many other factors... your birth number alone makes a big impression on your sun.

I have a Virgo moon so I'm constantly analyzing emotional things... so I can only imagine what it's like having that as a sun. It's a lot of energy to have. In a number of the Virgos I have been around, more than a few have been manipulative. I wonder why that is.

Ever met a Virgo person with a lot of Uranus/Aquarius influence in their chart? I know two (one male, one female)... they're ridiculously fun people. Highly electric.

And I don't mean to offend anyone... but does anyone notice that "Fat, angry/cynical female Virgo" syndrome? What is that all about? I can't tell you how often I've come across this archetype. Some of the women can come across as angry shrews.

There is a problem with dull, petty-minded female Virgos (especially when they get together, they get even nastier in packs) that just WHINES about everything & can be SO RUDE that it almost defies description! These people are content ONLY when they get to bore more vital Virgos with talk about knitting. They also often dislike democratic stuff like free speech: there evolves a sect-like dictatorship wherever such females decide to hold court.

This thread has been interesting to me. I am Gemini. My sister is Virgo & hates me! She has held a grudge for over 8 years for something that I had nothing to do with!! Also my father is a Virgo and he has always been emotionally distant and not there for me or anyone. He shows no love. Virgos have been a pattern of sadness in my life.

There is often some "friction" between Twins & Maidens, they share ruling planet BUT ARE VERY DIFFERENT! One is often the stereotype teacher-type who really enjoys company & the other is the introverted half-Scorpy who prefers silence! As Virgo I´m rather suspicious when people TALK SO MUCH! We like our conversations rather laconic, get to the core & do not waffle! Many Twins ACT, they are sometimes rather devious, and that is a big NO-NO in Virgo-land. TRUTH is sacred stuff for both Scorpys & Maidens. Yes is yes, no is no, always & with very few exceptions.

That's not all that true. All ( i mean every single one) my virgo friends (sun/moon or rising) talk way more than I do. In fact, they're often more high-strung than the gemini.

try getting into a conversation when a virgo is on the go! haha!

Both signs are usually labeled as master communicators (which is a bit strange in my view): the Twins rule stages/podiums & the Maidens excel in quiet, dinner conversation. But I have problems with images of blabbering Virgos, it feels like an adjustment to others expectations, against the grain or something like that.

As a Virgo, in answer to the first question

Are male Virgo different from female Virgos?

Even though I believe relying on sun sign descriptions is generic, sometimes it helps to generalize and my answer would have to be yes. Recalling all of the Virgo's I've ever met and known well, I'd have to generalize that the critical nature comes out more in the female Virgo, much more prone to nervousness and worrying. Of course, this is based from a small demographic, so don't take too much offense if you think I'm wrong.

    Would this pairing work?

Of course, but other factors come into play, especially which constellation Venus falls in. Myself for example, have Venus in Libra in the eighth house. All of my close friends are fire and air signs and I definitely am much more attracted to and find the company of masculine signs in relationships.

The potential problems in this pairing are the nitpicking that can be engaged in and the moodiness. If each has an understanding of these shortfalls and evolves, then there is a lot of synergy between the two in application of tangible results and aligned interests in the physical world. In bed, I would assume the sex would be great, since the two would have the same razor sharp analysis of what each other likes and dislikes. However, the main obstacle would be the emotional detachment that both are so prone to and selfishness. Serving each other would be key, honesty, and a bit more warmth.
    • All the confusion about Virgo issued because the SUN spends 43 days or so to cross this long constellation. Hydra is longer than Virgo but is generally less known as zodiacal constellation. The SUN needs only a week to cross thin Scorpius. Also Taurus rises only 5 minutes per day at this epoch, while Scorpius does not rise at all. On the other hand, Virgo is a gigantic constellation. Most of the population on this planet is Virgo by SUn sign or ascendant. By SUN we mean the real sun, not the astrological superstition. lulu.com/astrology A Virgo MOON on the other hand can be anywhere from Corvus to Sextans, depending on error. Chariklo in Virgo is actually in Centaurs, and so on, thus the difficulty.
